RCFD - The Robot City Fire Department - "We Take the Heat out of the Situation."
Fire crew Robots are known by their numbers. On each engine crew there are different types of Robots from large fire hose Robots to smaller lighter robots capable of clambering up ladders and getting in and out of burning buildings quickly.
All the RCFD Robots carry their own fire extinguishers and foam but they can also plug into the water mains to access a high pressure stream of water. They also all have a very advanced cooling system and are all painted in fire retardant paint.
The Police
Robots work within the police force as any normal officer would. The first Robots to be conscripted into the Police were graduates from the 1975 Robot Police Academy. For a few years they had to work doubly hard to gain acceptance but gradually the public came round to the idea that there would be robots in the Police Force. By the time Robots finally got the vote in 1993 Robots working within the Police Force were commonplace.
Traffic Police
Robot Traffic Cops built as Unicycles are one very smart and efficeint solution to policing the congested streets of Robot City. It was the success of these Cops on Wheels that lead to the Ambulance Services developing Docs on Wheels!
Orange and Blue...these colours are painted on all the Police Robots....there are differences but the basic central design of an Orange band on Blue with some White lines appears on all the Police Robots.
"And this year we're going to take on all comers in the Robot City Lines Annual Baseball tournament in the Goods Yards! Last year the Robot City Flyer beat us in the final."
