The Robot City Rocket

Constructed and activated in 1998 The Robot City Rocket holds the record for the fastest coast to coast non stop run from Robot City to Los Angeles setting it on Wednesday 7th August 2002 and breaking it on the return journey the next day!

The Rocket is one of the most popular trains in Robot City Lines prestigious fleet.

"Rocky's just a regular Robot!"

That's according to the Robot City Rocket's two engineers Frank Wells and Steve Fellows. They should know because they've been in the cab on the Rocket for the past six years and they say they've never been happier.

"Rocky, Steve and me...we're a team. I've worked with lots of trains over the years and they've all been great and I still stay in touch with some of them but the team we've got right now is the best."

"It's important to get on with your engineers. It's a very personal relationship. I have to rely on them for so much information and back up. Quite simply without Frank and Steve I wouldn't get out of the train shed in the morning. We enjoy each others company and socialise outside of work."

"That's right. Obviously we don't want Rocky going off the rails or anything like that so we come to him. When Steve got married last year Rocky and I were both best men. Steve and Lynette had the ceremony at their local station and then Rocky took us all on a day trip and we had the reception right here on board."

"Ha! What a great day that was. With Frank and Steve I really feel part of the family. I'm even God Parent to Johhnie Frank's oldest child."

"It's not just in the cab but all the crew Humans and Robots get along and we're all proud to serve on the Robot City Rocket. If we're not working we often have Thanksgiving together on board."

"It always feels like I'm just plain Rocky when I'm by myself but when all the crew is here and ready to go then I feel like we can take on anyone and I really am the Robot City Rocket."

"And this year we're going to take on all comers in the Robot City Lines Annual Baseball tournament in the Goods Yards! Last year the Robot City Flyer beat us in the final."

"Yeah! Watch out Fly you're not shunting me off first base again!"

"Ha ha! You tell him Rocky!"
